Did you know Columbia has an extensive system of canals? Originally begun in 1820 on the Saluda River, it was later expanded to include a separate canal, called Bull Sluice, north of Columbia Canal on the Broad River. This is a lovely view of that diversion dam on the Broad River.
This view at the Columbia Diversion Dam for Bull Sluice was painted plein air (outdoors, on location) with some friends on a lovely summer day.
This original painting is:
- a handmade item
- 8"x10"x.125" (17 x 14 x 1.25 in frame)
- painted on flat Gessobord Panel
- signed by the artist
