Awards!!!

I'm thrilled to share that my piece "Low Tide" won an award at this year's CCAL Juried Show. This is the first time I was brave enough to enter the Masters category (versus Amateur) so I wasn't expecting to receive an award this year. Love that the jurors felt it deserved this honor. Thank you to Chris Groves for selecting my art for this award! And, thank you to Jaime Bohnke with S&S Destination Trucky's for sponsoring the award!

It's been a very weird time to have art in a Juried Show. Each year the Crooked Creek Art League puts on one of the largest art shows in the midlands. This year, I was one of the co-chairs for the event. We have certainly had to do some creative things to help bring the show to the public this year since it is currently all hanging but locked up in the closed park due to Covid-19. Strange times indeed for us all!

One of the things CCAL has done this year in light of all this is to put voting for the People's Choice award online so everyone can still see all the artwork and vote for their favorite. I encourage you to go online (crookedcreekart.org) to see all the fabulous artwork in this year's show and vote for your favorite for People's Choice! I humbly invite you to consider voting for one of my pieces if you feel so inclined :-). I warn you now, there are a LOT of wonderful pieces so it may not be an easy choice. But, it IS a great way to spend a little time while we're all stuck at home social distancing :-)...

Here are my other two entered pieces in this year's show:

All three pieces are currently available. Let me know if you're interested.

From the Crooked Creek Art League:

CCAL proudly congratulates all the winners in our 25th Annual Juried Show! This is our premier annual event and one of the biggest art shows in the midlands. We have 151 great works of art by 63 artists this year.

All the winning artwork will remain on display on the CCAL Website. Artwork may be available for in person viewing at Crooked Creek Park after it is able to reopen. Check our website/Facebook page/calendar for additional updates as they become available to us.

We congratulate all our artists. There are some truly wonderful pieces this year!
