Earth, Art and More
“Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty.”
~ John Ruskin
This Saturday is Earth Day, so Happy Earth Day! Gotta admit, I'm a fan. It's no accident that my paintings reflect the natural world with florals, birds, animals, and landscapes. I find great contentment being in nature.
I've completed a few new paintings from nature. Before I post them on social media, I wanted to offer you the first opportunity to see them.
I've also done initial sketches for a couple of new series that I'm excited to be able to show you soon.
Looking for a fun place to behold some new beauty for Earth Day?
My next public event will be as an exhibiting artist at the 2023 Festival of Gardens. I will be painting live on location and exhibiting originals and prints for sale Saturday April 22 from 9am - noon. Hosted in gorgeous gardens, there is sure to be beauty in abundance as this year's festival will be held in historic Shandon. I will be in the Suber Garden at 3124 Heyward Street, but you must register before visiting. Registration will open 9 am on Saturday, April 22 at St. John’s Episcopal Church (in the gym). Park on Holly Street. Registration closes one hour prior to the gardens closing. You can also buy tickets online in advance.
Hope to see you there!!
You can also currently find a large display of my art on exhibit at The Coffee Shelf in Chapin. This exhibit will remain in place until June 30. The Coffee Shelf has a new owner with French connections and is adding French pastries to the menu. Yumm!
